The Most Important Thing For a Woman: Be Hot
Many young women think that the most important thing is to be hot. And in a very narrow way.
It’s no wonder. They’re bombarded by narrowly sexy images.
Go to Google Images and type “sexy images” or “sexy fantasies.” About 99% of the pics will be of women.
What? Men aren’t sexy?
And why do they all look alike. Isn’t variety the spice of life?
Go to Las Vegas and take a look at the billboards. About 99% will be sexy ladies.
Drive down the street and take a look at the sexy women on billboards luring you to this or that product. Now look at the sexy men who are doing the same thing.
(Okay, there are a few sexy men, but they are few and far between.)
On television you will see some sexy guys. But you will see a lot more sexy ladies.
Meanwhile, male TV characters often make negative remarks about overweight women — or even average weight women! And the audience laughs.
When women are bombarded by sexy — impossibly sexy — images is it any wonder that so many think so important to be hot?
And that most of us have poor body image?
