I Didn’t Come From Your Rib. You Came From My Vagina.
Once upon a time we imagined God as The Goddess.
Women give birth, and so from the goddess worlds were born.
But once we knew the role men played the goddess birthed a son who grew to become her lover and consort. And from these two worlds were born.
Later, gods overtook goddesses. And eventually, from God the world was born. (Why this pattern? See this.)
And these patriarchal types have been trying to control women’s reproduction ever since.
But PsychoSuperMom is here to remind us that:
I didn’t come from your rib. You came from my vagina.
Video here:
Good to remember when you hear that from Adam Eve was born — making women secondary.

I was very intrigued by the title of this blog and once I got to see the video It all made sense. Though the video is amusing, it also has some very real facts as to all the things that women have endured since she came from “Adam’s rib”. Women’s politics right now are at an all-time high, because the government has been inducing many struggles against women and our rights to access to birth control and abortion. These are very interesting and important topics to discuss as he government has taken a step back from supporting women in their rights to shaming them and trying to control them and their natural way of their bodies and what they decide to do with them. This video was so great and amusing to me, but there is definitely a clear message and important facts that are so relevant to today’s womanly struggles with the government. Though some men fail to realize, where they came from, they absolutely came from a woman’s vagina. Thank you for a great video and shedding light on the facts that some people tend to forget.
Wow, very flattered you liked the video enough to post it, and your readers are awfully nice. Thank you! I do a new one every week and post by Friday morning on youTube (psychosupermom) and Twitter (@laurenscomedy). My latest is a showtune for Kim Davis, “The Homophobe Tango (She Had It Coming)” -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqSWff-IWbM

Thank you! – In case I forget to check here, I hope you’ll consider subscribing on youTube or following on Twitter, either way I send them out by Friday morning. Always progressive, feminist, pro-marriage equality, and anti-right-wing-hypocrisy.
Cool! Sounds like a treasure trove.
That’s a great Post, Title and Video, and good lyrics.
Well certain things are controversies.
But they are never far from truth.
Let me be away from them.
Oh! my God!!!

Yeah I thought that was a great video and title. Had to share! And add a little context.
The rib story of Eve only exists in the bible, for the apparent benefit of all those with dogmatically blinkered visions, Georgia. The cosmic power, or infinity, is formless; yet the earth and energy, in Indian thought, are symbolised in the feminine gender.
Cool!
And I’m very cool with the unity of feminine and masculine power.
If Trump was a C-section baby, that could be why why he thinks he’s a male deity (or maybe he’s just an A-hole).
Good theory!
Obviously, this person knows very little of Bible history.
Original man (Adam) was created from dust…Yes, all subsequent men were born from the womb of woman. But, still Eve was created from Adam’s rib.
Different strokes for different folks.
Lol- so true. And to overstate the obvious- even Jesus came from a woman’s vagina. That physical fact in itself flummoxes me in terms of how come so many people still find it hard to think of the feminine as sacred/creatrix as any male deity.
Good point about Jesus!
This video is the BEST! It gave me a good laugh. When put that way (“I didn’t come from your rib; you came from my vagina!”) puts things into a new perspective, doesn’t it?
Sure does!
I have to comment on this one, absolutely true, The video was awsome, funny yet delivering the message. I believe at times most men forget this part of life and not giving due respect for that fact, after all we did not magically appear one day.
Yes, women were once revered for giving life. but now a bunch of reactionaries want to use the fact that women give life as an excuse to control them.
Hi Georgia…Truth…And! Thanks for sharing with us. Wishing you days of magic and wonder…Phil
You’re welcome. And thank you!
Omg awesome video – and one of my favourite one liners ever: I didn’t come from your rib, you came from my vagina 🙂
Yes. So awesome!
