Feminist, Malala
Patriarchal terrorists are scared of girls.
Especially educated girls.
And most especially Malala Yousafzai, who promotes girls’ education. So they put a bullet through her brain.
They say God does not like knowledgeable girls.
But Malala’s miraculous recovery just might indicate that God is on her side.
Despite her courageous advocacy for girls’ education, it took years before Malala thought of herself as a feminist. She explains,
This word ‘feminism’ has been a very tricky word. When I heard it the first time, I heard some negative responses and some positive ones. And I hesitated in saying ‘am I a feminist or not?’
But Emma Watson’s United Nations speech advocating for gender equality — aka “feminism” — changed her mind.
When you said ‘If not now when? If not me who?’ I decided that there’s nothing wrong by calling yourself a feminist…
I am a feminist and we should all be feminists because feminism is another word for equality.
Gender shouldn’t hold anyone back from reaching their goals, she says.
Amen!
Here’s a discussion between two of my favorite feminists, Malala Yousafzai and Emma Watson:

Thanks for the video, Georgia. Really liked it. And, yes, I believe feminism is all about equality.
Hopefully more people will get that!
Hmm..for many women, the word feminism means comparing themselves to men and they just want to be like their male counterparts which, indirectly, is making the foundation of patriarchy stronger!
But that’s sexist, really, right? It assumes that men are better than women (the sexism) meaning it’s best to be like men. That belief comes from valuing men and masculinity over women and femininity. When really it would be good for man to be more like women in some ways — nicer, more nurturing… I’ll things that men are completely capable of.
To have equality men would need to stop repressing their feminine side and women would be allowed to express her masculine side.
I wonder why women fail to understand this and fall in the trap ….I’ve seen a lot of them… 😦
Maybe because that’s how they are taught to think by people who push the patriarchy?
Perhaps you are right….

Your welcome dear 🙂 🙂 Thank you very much x x
💕❤️
Malala is an amazing example, and her quote is brilliant…I had never heard this before “I am a feminist and we should all be feminists because feminism is another word for equality.” but it rings so true. Wishing you a very happy, strong and successful 2017 ~
Love Malala! Such a brave young woman!
And thanks for the 2017 best wishes. The US and the world will need them!
Interesting equation: feminism as an expression of equality
Good point also in relation to Islamism, its original “meaning” (peace) and how therefore terrorism is a deviated way of this religion. By the way, You won´t believe it, but when I went to Brazil I found a lost book at the airport: ” A thousand splendid suns” by Hosseini (In English) and have it over here… Now I´ll have to give it a try considering these two ladies said it is great and that Malala said it was her favorite book this year! 😉
Thank you for sharing, Georgia… I truly liked the video.
Yeah, people who fear equality are prone to disparaging feminists. Afraid of a girl! I guess they don’t really believe in male superiority. Ha ha!
